Suzanne StanfordInternet Safety Education Speaker and Consultant CEO, My Internet Safety Coach.com; Vice President Internet Safety Affairs, Children’s Educational Network
Suzanne Stanford is a nationally recognized internet safety education speaker and consultant. In 2002, while a founding executive for the internet safety education foundation, i-Safe America, she received a Congressional Merit Award; and was selected by Senator David Vitter as one of ten American Women of Leadership. Her extensive background includes working with the United States Congress on internet safety issues, and bringing public awareness on the illegal trafficking of minor children. Currently, she is the Founder and CEO of My Internet Safety Coach.com; and the Vice President of Internet Safety Affairs for the Children’s Educational Network. Ms. Stanford publishes online internet safety information and speaks around the country on responsible internet use and how to avoid being victimized by online predators. She is active in her church, her daughter’s school, and is a supporter of The Special Olympics; the President of the Founder’s Guild for Casa Teresa, a non-profit organization that provides a loving home for single, pregnant women 18 years of age and older; and is on the Board of Directors for Challenge Day, a non-profit organization committed to stopping teen violence and alienation. As one who strives to always “step up to the plate”, in 2005 she launched “The Rolling Suitcase and New Clothing Drive” for Hurricane Katrina victims for The Red Cross in San Antonio,Texas. This resulted in donations of over 24,000 rolling suitcases and countless articles of clothing. Currently she’s involved in a charity drive with Kid’s Talk, a non- profit foundation to raise $40,000 before Christmas, 2006, to purchase a desperately needed mobile medical unit for villages in Kakamega, Nambale, and Bunyore, East Africa. She has facilitated getting 3,000 shoes for babies through adults, as a means of preventing the spread of infectious diseases in these and other areas of East Africa, however is looking for a means to transport these goods. Humbly, she’s the first to point out that the inspiration and credit for any work she does all goes to God and the wonderful people He places in her life. Prior to working in the Internet safety education field, Ms. Stanford enjoyed a long and varied career in the network television and feature film industry as an actress, writer, television critic, producer, and production executive. She remains a member of the Directors Guild of America, Screen Actor’s Guild, and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. Ms. Stanford holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from UCLA.
